Seven minutes and twenty-nine seconds.
That’s the runtime of The End Consumes by Thy Sanatorium.
Seven minutes and twenty-nine seconds is all it takes for this thing to kick your teeth in, yank your spine straight through your back, and make you thank it for the privilege. Hell, it’s only about 30 seconds before you’re headbanging like a man possessed, throwing horns at the ceiling, and praising whichever infernal deity oversees Symphonic Black Metal for allowing a band like this to exist.
Because make no mistake — The End Consumes is a fucking banger of the highest order.

This track is so metal it wouldn’t make it past airport security. The scanner would just explode and the staff would have to clock off early. It’s huge, it’s cinematic, it’s savage, and it’s got that perfect blend of gothic grandeur and annihilating Black Metal fury that makes the best symphonic acts feel like they’re scoring the end of the world.
Here’s the funny part:
I know absolutely fuck all about the band.
This three-track single—one version with vocals, one instrumental, one guitar backing—showed up in my inbox while I was fighting off the death plague, and the info attached was thinner than a vegan’s gravy. Their Bandcamp page offers this:
“Thy Sanatorium is an anonymous multi-national collective formed in 2025 blending black metal with gothic, symphonic, and extreme elements with a focus on horror.”
And honestly? They could be eldritch shadows wearing human skins for all I care. They could be pixies with electric sitars and tin cans for drums. The point is that the chaos they unleash is fucking glorious.
The vocals alone are worth the ticket price: a lead rasp that sounds like a man gargling razor wire, countered by a female voice in the chorus so hauntingly beautiful it could turn a glacier into a puddle. Then the guitar solo hits — out of nowhere, like an Agent Orange airstrike — and suddenly the whole track erupts into even more carnage than before.
What Thy Sanatorium deliver here is pure, unfiltered Symphonic Black Metal euphoria.
Massive.
Melodic.
Violent.
Emotional.
A total feast for degenerates like us.
If this is just the single, then mother of Satan, I cannot wait for the full release.
The End Consumes by Thy Sanatorium is available from their Bandcamp page.
BLACK METAL ARCHIVES VERDICT: A nuclear-level banger from an unknown coven. If Thy Sanatorium keep this up, we’re all doomed — and I can’t wait for the ride.
