Whitewalls by No Heroes Review

Hail, you frostbitten brawlers of the Black Metal Archives—Sean here, still reeling from No Heroes’ Whitewalls. Blasted this single today, and it’s like Minnesota’s icy winds carved a blade across my chest. Caught it fresh off Bandcamp, a teaser for their Brood Eternal album dropping May 2025, and its four-minute thrash is pure adrenaline—let’s tear it apart!

No Heroes rose from Duluth’s frozen grit in 2014, a five-man crew—Sklarr (vocals), Nick (guitars), Cody (bass), Sam (drums), and Nathan (Electronics). Whitewalls heralds Brood Eternal, their next chapter of melodic death-thrash, self-released and fierce.

The track explodes with riffs as sharp as a shattered bottle—Nick’s guitars weave a melodic storm, Cody’s vocals snarling like a cornered wolf. Sam’s drums hammer relentlessly, Cody’s bass a low growl that drives it home—I’m thrashing, hooked on its fury. It’s got a clean chorus that soars without softening, balancing At the Gates’ heart with Testament’s bite. The breakdown at the end hits like a sledgehammer, leaving me grinning in the wreckage.

Whitewalls shows us that No Heroes’ sound is a Northern forge—melodic death metal’s fire meets thrash’s raw edge, it’s polished but pissed—feels like they tracked this in a lakeside warehouse, fueled by whiskey and spite. Whitewalls is a war cry—blast it, let it ignite you, and join me in this inferno.

You icy renegades, drop your takes—how did this single spark your blood? Stream it on Bandcamp and brace for Brood Eternal dropping May 2nd!
