German Doom Metal band Daevar have released a visualiser video for their NIN cover track Closer, taken from the forthcoming album The Downward Spiral Redux, due out November 28th via Magnetic Eye Records.

Guitarist Caspar Orfgen states:
“We had booked a studio session just to record our version of ‘Closer’ and maybe flesh out one or two other ideas. While we were waiting for our turn, we actually finished writing our entire third album. When it was time for our session, we tracked everything in one go; including the ‘Closer’ cover. The song became the perfect spark that kicked off a much bigger creative burst. ‘Closer’ has that raw, hypnotic energy that begged to be slowed down and drowned in fuzz. The song’s grinding rhythm and obsessional mood felt like it was already halfway to doom.”
