Every so often, something comes crashing through the inbox that doesn’t so much whisper for your attention as it kicks the fucking door off its hinges, plants a boot on your chest, and screams, “LISTEN TO THIS.” Seek Revenge by Stolen Soul is that kind of record — five tracks of pure, adrenalised Groove Metal fury that’ll make your blood pressure spike and your neighbours file a noise complaint.

This EP doesn’t fuck about. From the very first riff, it’s obvious that Stolen Soul have one mission: to angry up the blood. And by Satan, they succeed. Every guitar chug feels like a punch to the sternum; every snare hit cracks like a gunshot; and the vocals — Jesus H. Christ — the vocals sound like the unholy offspring of Phil Anselmo and a junkyard dog that’s been raised on rust and whiskey.
The production is thick and muscular, you can practically taste the sweat and dust coming off the riffs. It’s that Pantera school of groove, the kind that straddles the line between controlled chaos and outright carnage. The rhythm section is a machine built for destruction — basslines that grind like chainsaws chewing through bone, drums that land like atomic bombs. Even when the tempo shifts down into those mid-paced, head-nodding chugs, the energy doesn’t let up. It just changes shape — from full-blown rampage to a slow, stomping march into the pit.
There’s a purity to Seek Revenge that I love. This is the sound of five people in a room, cranking their amps, and giving every ounce of venom, sweat, and groove they’ve got. No filler, no pretension — just riffs for days and attitude for miles.

You can feel the anger behind every note, but it’s not the kind of blind rage that consumes itself. This is cathartic fury, the kind that burns clean, the kind that reminds you why heavy music exists in the first place. It’s primal, it’s honest, and it hits like a crowbar to the ribs.
And yeah — maybe I’m getting too old for mosh pits. Maybe these days the most violent thing I do is shout at clouds and complain about modern production. But if Seek Revenge came on live, I’d be in there, right at the front, letting the pit take me like an offering to the gods of groove.
Stolen Soul have done it right — no bullshit, no overproduction, just pure, swinging violence dressed up in modern grit. Seek Revenge is Groove Metal the way it’s supposed to be: dirty, loud, and absolutely relentless.

BLACK METAL ARCHIVES VERDICT: It might not be Black Metal, but it’s heavy enough to turn your bones to dust. Seek Revenge is a firestorm of groove, grit, and glorious aggression — the kind of record that makes you want to punch the sky, the wall, and maybe yourself.
