Putrevore To Release New Album: Unending Rotten Cycle

Death Metal outfit Putrevore are setting up to unleash their new album, Unending Rotten Cycle, on November 11th via Xtreem Music

You can get a taste of the upcoming onslaught by watching the video for No Mourning the Grace here:

“Putrevore…a shared dream between two icons of death, a nascent idea hatched between Dave Rotten (Avulsed, Holycide etc) and Rogga Johansson (Paganizer, Ribspreader and a thousand more) to pay tribute to the hardest, heaviest and most brutal of the death metal pioneers of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, more than twenty years ago. Yet still the beast clings to life with a vicious tenacity and a fifth full length album of impossible horrors is about to be unleashed – Unending Rotting Cycle!

Attacking with a terrifying immediacy, ‘No Mourning The Grace’ reveals Dave Rotten’s vocals at their most tomb-trawling, deeper and more inhuman than ever before, while Rogga Johansson’s inexhaustible supply of superlative death metal riffs remains undiminished. An inherent sense of dark melody is always present behind the song’s wall of terror, spreading tendrils of utter desolation through its rotting cadaver. There’s an incredible murky darkness shrouding this album as a whole, the vocals clawing their way up through the thick, oppressive riffs, while the drums deliver a crisp, bone shaking thunder within the vortex of chaos. On tracks like the magnificent, rumbling, infernal majesty of ‘Subterranean Paths To The Temples’, the fear infused atmosphere is simply awesome. There is no let up in the nightmarish aura – once Putrevore have sunk their cracked, decaying teeth into your flesh they do not let go. From the stumbling zombie death march of ‘They Worship Disarray’, led by Rotten’s flesh melting vocals, to the paean to horrors from beyond the boundaries of sanity that is ‘Cult Of The Tentacle’, Unending Rotting Cycle is a testament to the fact that the blood in Putrevore’s collective veins runs black with the essence of death metal. The final act of desecration, ‘The Cradle Replaced By The Grave’, is haunting and morose as it grinds you into the dust, extinguishing the last flickering embers of life and hope.”
