German post-metal collective V/Haze Miasma have signed with Inertial Music ahead of their second album, Praise Me! Erase Me!, due out November 7th.
“Formed as a studio project and led by guitarist and composer Johannes Lenk (Hjort), V/Haze Miasma quickly gained recognition with the debut album agenda:endure (2020, re-released via Supreme Chaos Records in 2023), which was highlighted as “Tip of the Month” in Germany’s Rock Hard and ranked #3 in the Metal Hammer Soundcheck in January 2024. The band further expanded its sonic identity with the 2022 EP Nebula, before entering Grotesque Studios in Bad Wörishofen to forge their most ambitious work to date.
The new full-length “Praise Me! Erase Me!” presents a dynamic interplay of thrilling melodies, complex atmospheric arrangements, post-blackened aggression, and melodic doom sensibilities. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Ghost Brigade, Swallow the Sun, Enslaved, Sólstafir, Ihsahn, Cult of Luna, and Neurosis, the album captures both fragility and fury, balancing serene calm with emotional eruption.
Lyrically, V/Haze Miasma continues to reflect on the beauty, power, and vulnerability of nature while addressing humanity’s hypocrisy in destroying it with eyes wide open. “Praise Me! Erase Me!” also delves into personal struggles, social inequality, and the pervasive material and mental exploitation that defines modern existence.”
