Less than a minute. That’s how long Distortion by Fantazmaz takes. Less than a minute. And that is how long it will take you to wonder just how you managed to get this far in your life without this band in it.

This kicks and it kicks fucking hard.

Coming across like a jacked up hybrid of Punk fed on a steady diet of Hardcore, Distortion has the pop sensibilities of the Ramones, infused with the Hardcore trappings of Agnostic Front, and just out and out rock and fucking roll.

It is a skin blistering, head banging, pogo slamming, mosh pit inducing banger of a fucking track and if you don’t find yourself moving like a lunatic off their meds from the opening note to the last, then you must be dead, and I don’t mean dead inside, just officially dead as the dodo, as that can be the only explanation for your lack of movement.

Everything bangs, crashes, and booms in all the right places, as Fantazmaz drives Distortion down the Fuck You highway, while vocalist Thami sticks the boot into the middle class and the rich for being a bunch of cunts (my interpretation, not theirs) and it is fucking glorious.

Distortion the newest single for their self titled album, due out July 4th, and if this is anything to go by I have a feeling that Fantazmaz are about to become one of my break out bands of the year.
