Debt Of Silence by Autumn Lies Buried Review

Debt of Silence by Autumn Lies Buried is the best example of go fucking hard or go fucking home, possibly ever committed to vinyl. This is Extreme Metal at its best. A continuous gut punch of staccato delivery that spends the near three minutes that it lives inside your head trying to kick its way out from the inside of your skull.

It is anger and rage turned up to eleven and dipped in a tasty delicious frosting of gonna smash your fucking face in guitar and vocals.

According to the press release, Debt of Silence;

“…delivers the band’s signature combination of breakneck energy, socially conscious lyrics, and unrelenting heaviness that fans have come to expect.”

And that pretty much sums it up better than I could, but the one thing I will add to that is the vocal performance by Kaelin Wilkins has to be heard to be believed.

If every member of Autumn Lies Buried is on point here – which they are – then Kaelin Wilkins goes above and beyond the call of duty, delivering vocals that are so aggressive they could start a fight in an empty room.

I won’t taint my review of Debt of Silence by comparing Autumn Lies Buried to any other band, because they don’t sound like any other band I’ve ever heard, and I do mean ever. This isn’t a song that sounds like anything other than a revolution, a revolution we should all be quite happy to get behind.

The song is short and punchy, so is this review. Get Debt of Silence into your life right now and prepare for Autumn Lies Buried to become an integral part of the Extreme Metal scene for decades to come. This is fucking proper.
