Hello! Vanessa here, back with another review. Thrash/Death crossover band Transgressive presents us a new, highly political EP, and as the topic affects myself, it’s a really important release to me.

Remember Us To Death is a remembrance and look forward on the social genocide of transgender people in the west, particularly the US and the UK.

The title track starts off strong and powerful. You can already hear the great production work. After the intro, the song introduces a clean part with spoken word, listing names of murdered trans people, all victims of hate crimes. Their names won’t be forgotten. A ripping solo follows. The brutal riffs throughout remind me a bit of Carcass. After about half of the song, it slows down a bit, featuring another soaring solo. In the end, the song fades out.

Fuck Nazi Sympathy, an Aus-Rotten cover, is absolutely brutal and really well executed. Short and on point with its message, this song is merciless and crushing like a freight train at full speed. Again, the production is really good.

This is a great release with an important message. The current situation for trans people is sadly getting worse day by day. The title track is song is a great reminder that the fight for trans rights has to continue. Make sure to check it out on Bandcamp!
