Hello fans of Black Metal and welcome to another review!

Today I’m looking at Aorta, the newest single by Fürst. Fürst is a one-man Black Metal project by Alastor, hailing from Solingen, Germany. According to the Bandcamp page, Aorta is a song about depression, suicide and everything negative within a human soul. Quite a dark topic, so let’s see how this song gets this topic across!

The song has a beautiful atmospheric build-up, almost dark ambient like in the beginning. After a while the vocals kick in, wailing, yet powerful. The song has a very dark feeling, which is really gloomy and sorrowful sounding. A spoken word part at the end leads to an atmospheric closing, just like the song started.

I love the atmosphere of this song. The engulfing darkness is really beautiful.
