There are few things I love more than deathrock. Deathrock that also pays homage to multiple genres of the occult is even better. New Skeletal Faces’ until recently unreleased track Deterioration wraps goth rock melodrama with punk style vocals in a spikey little bow. Fans of such bands as Christian Death and Catholic Spit are sure to find a familiarity here with a slightly more modern edge.

The band’s recent record Until the Night released through Peaceville Records is also worth a listen if you find yourself grooving to these graveyard jams. Here you find songs that harken back to heyday of black n’ roll and post-punk era. And if you find yourself so lucky catch them on their upcoming tour with Mayhem, Mortiis, and Imperial Triumphant.
